FAQs About Miyakodori

What is the difference between omakase and the regular menu?

The omakase menu is a special multi-course tasting menu personalized by the chef based on the freshest seasonal ingredients. It takes place in a private room and comes with drink pairings. The regular menu allows you to order à la carte from a variety of small plates and yakitori skewers cooked over a charcoal grill in the lively main dining room.

Do you take reservations?

Yes, reservations are highly recommended as the restaurant is quite small and fills up every evening. Reservations can easily be made on our website.

Is there seating at the bar?

Yes, we have limited counter seating at the bar facing the open kitchen available on a first-come, first-served basis for walk-ins. These coveted seats let you see the grill in action while the chefs prepare the skewers.

What time does the last seating begin?

The last seating for food begins at 10:00 pm. The restaurant then transitions into a lively bar atmosphere and is open until 1:00 am on weekdays and 3:00 am on weekends.

Do you offer any vegetarian/vegan options?

Yes, we have a dedicated vegetarian section on the menu featuring items like grilled tofu skewers, vegetable tempura, stir fried mushrooms and more. Please let your server know about any dietary restrictions.

What age is allowed at the restaurant in the evening?

As we transition into more of an izakaya atmosphere later in the evening with alcohol service, we require guests to be 20+ years from 10:00 pm onwards. Families are welcome earlier.

Is there parking nearby?

Unfortunately we do not offer private parking, but there are several public parking garages within a 5 minute walk from the restaurant. Street parking is also sometimes available on evenings and weekends nearby.

Can I make substitutions to dishes?

We kindly ask that you order the dishes as they are prepared by our chefs to ensure the intended balance of flavors and textures. Please let us know if you have any food allergies or restrictions so we can guide you accordingly.
